A clear “Book now” entry point on your Facebook Business Page removes friction, turns page visits into appointments, and gives your community a path to convert without DMs back-and-forth. This guide walks through every high‑impact placement for your booking link on Facebook, plus practical ways to track results and keep the experience fast on mobile.
What you need before you start
- A Facebook Page (not a personal profile), ideally using the New Page Experience.
- A shareable booking URL from your scheduling platform. In Breely, we generate clean, shareable links for your entire booking page as well as deep links for specific services and team members, so you can route visitors directly to the right place.
Method 1: Add a “Book now” action button to your Page
The action button sits at the top of your Page and consistently drives the most clicks.
Desktop (New Page Experience):
- Open your Facebook Page.
- Click Edit action button beneath your cover image. If you see Add action button, click that.
- Choose Book now.
- Select Link to website (or similar).
- Paste your booking URL and Save.
Mobile (Facebook app):
- Go to your Page.
- Tap the three dots (…) > Edit action button.
- Pick Book now > Website link.
- Paste your booking URL and Save.
Notes:
- If you previously set a different CTA (like Contact us), you can switch it to Book now anytime.
- Use a final, customer-ready URL that loads quickly and doesn’t require extra clicks.
Method 2: Place your booking link in Page details (About)
Add your URL in multiple profile fields so it’s always findable, even if users miss the button.
- On your Page, go to Settings > Page setup or Edit Page info.
- Add your booking URL in the Website field.
- If available, add it to Additional links or Other accounts as well.
- Save changes.
This also helps Facebook index your booking destination and can improve link visibility in search and the Page’s “About” preview.
Method 3: Feature your link in a pinned post
Pinned posts sit at the top of your feed and let you explain what happens after a click.
- Create a post that briefly states what you offer and includes your booking link.
- Publish, then click the three dots (…) on the post > Pin to top of Page.
Enhance with:
- Your top one to three services
- Availability highlights (e.g., “Evenings + weekends”)
- An image or short video for attention in the feed
Method 4: Add the URL to Services and Highlights
If your Page uses Services:
- Go to Professional dashboard > Services (or Edit services).
- Add/confirm your service list with concise descriptions and durations.
- In each service description, include a short “Book: [URL]” line. Facebook may not always render links as clickable in every module, but it reinforces next steps and helps users copy/paste.
For Highlights:
- Use Featured or Highlights to showcase a post or reel that points to your booking link.
Method 5: Use Messenger automations to send the link instantly
Automations reply with your booking link when people message your Page.
- Open your Page Inbox.
- Go to Automations.
- Set up:
- Instant reply: Include your booking link and typical response time.
- Frequently asked questions: Add “How can I book?” and include your link in the answer.
- Away message (after-hours): Share your link so visitors can book while you’re offline.
Short, human-readable links work best in chat. We keep links clean and scannable in Breely, and we support deep links to specific services or team members so people land exactly where they need to book.
Method 6: Cross-surface on Instagram (if connected)
If your Facebook Page and Instagram are connected via Accounts Center:
- Add your booking link to your Instagram bio.
- Use Stories with “Link” stickers pointing to your booking page.
- Mirror your Facebook pinned post as an Instagram pinned post for consistency.
This helps consolidate your “Book now” journey across both surfaces, especially since many Facebook visitors also check your Instagram profile.
Add UTM parameters to your booking URL so you can see how Facebook drives bookings in your analytics.
Start with something like:
- ?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=page_cta
Examples you can reuse:
- Page action button: ?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=page_cta&utm_campaign=book_now_button
- Pinned post: ?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=pinned_post&utm_campaign=booking_promo
- Messenger automation: ?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=messenger&utm_campaign=auto_reply
Keep parameters lowercase and consistent. Most analytics tools will attribute these visits and conversions correctly when you follow this format.
We accept UTM parameters on our booking links in Breely, so you can attribute bookings from different Facebook placements without extra setup.
Method 8: Optimize your link for clicks and conversions
- Mobile-first speed: Most Facebook traffic is mobile. Use a fast, minimal booking page and avoid unnecessary redirects. Our mobile-first booking pages in Breely load quickly and keep the path to confirmation short, which lowers drop-off.
- Visual clarity: Make sure the hero content immediately explains what you offer, the duration, and the earliest available time.
- Reduce friction: Enable “guest checkout” (no account required) and keep forms short. If you need forms, trigger them after time selection so the user is already committed.
- Deep links: If you promote a specific offer on Facebook, link directly to that service or staff member. With team scheduling, we provide clear links for the whole team and for each individual.
Method 9: Keep your booking link visible in day-to-day content
- Posts and Reels: Include your URL in captions when relevant. Rotate in periodic “How to book” posts.
- Stories: Add a Link sticker and save to a Booking highlight for evergreen visibility.
- Events: If you create Facebook Events for workshops or classes, add your booking URL in the event description and tickets section when appropriate.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t see “Book now”? Check you’re editing the Page (not your personal profile) and that you have appropriate Page access. Try desktop—some options roll out to mobile later.
- Link won’t save or preview: Ensure it’s a full HTTPS URL and not behind an unsupported redirect. Test the link in a private browser.
- Button points to the wrong place: Re-open Edit action button and paste the exact URL you want (including any UTM parameters).
- Preview image looks off: Facebook caches link previews. Use a fresh UTM parameter or update your booking page’s Open Graph tags and re-share.
Final checklist
- Add the “Book now” action button and test on mobile.
- Put your URL in Page details (Website and any additional link fields).
- Pin a post explaining what visitors can book and when.
- Set Messenger Instant reply and FAQs to share your link automatically.
- Use UTM parameters to track performance by placement.
- Keep the booking experience fast, simple, and mobile-first.
If you want a clean, direct booking experience that’s easy to share across Facebook surfaces and simple to attribute, we built Breely to prioritize fast mobile booking, deep links for services and team members, and straightforward tracking so you can see exactly where your appointments come from.
